The 3M™ 987C Cubitron II Fibre Disc is excellent for applications on heat-sensitive metals such as stainless steel, aluminium and nickel alloys. The 3M 987C Fibre Disc penetrates deeper into the metal and cuts very consistently and quickly through the toughest of metals throughout its entire service life.
Why a 36+, 60+, 80+ coarseness?
Thanks to the unique shape and placement of the abrasive minerals in the new 3M™ Cubitron™ II Technology, the coarseness can no longer be determined by traditional methods within the FEPA standards. 3M opts for the designation of a “+” sign to indicate that this mineral grade is comparable in aggressiveness to a wider range of grades.
