3M™ Cubitron™ II Sanding Belt 994F with Precision Shaped Grain technology on a ZF-weight backing. Our 994F sanding belts are ideal for medium to high pressure applications on carbon steel and aluminium.
With a water-proof ZF-weight backing, the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Sanding Belt 994F is suitable for both wet and dry use. Our belts feature Precision Shaped Grain, for fast cutting action and a longer lifespan than conventional sanding equipment. Compared to more traditional sanding equipment, the triangular calibrated abrasive material (Precision Shaped Grain) cuts through metal like a knife through butter. These tips continuously sharpen themselves when small pieces break off, allowing them to cut through material super fast and generate less heat, the latter reducing heat-related stress cracking and discolouration. The sanding material delivers a uniform finish throughout its lifespan and helps prevent discolouration. The ZF-weight backing provides extra durability and the sanding material is resin bonded for reliable performance, even at high temperature and pressures. This belt is equipped with Grinding Aid, ensuring lower operating temperatures when finishing sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel and cobalt alloys.
