Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Clean & Strip XT Pro Disc consists of a silicon carbide abrasive mineral contained in an open nylon web structure. Our discs effectively remove dust, paint, mill scale, coatings and adhesives from surfaces without significantly altering the base material.
When preparing metal surfaces or removing rust and paint with Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Clean & Strip XT Pro Disc, you can get more formability without sacrificing strength. Our discs feature a combination of renewed fibre wires, resin and a silicon carbide abrasive mineral to form a thick, open web. The elastic nature of the fibres means that these discs can follow the contours of the workpiece with greater precision to achieve a larger contact area for faster material removal. They conform to welds so they can be sanded without being removed and they allow access to hard-to-reach areas without damaging the substrate. Silicon carbide cuts more intensively and thus provides a fine finish. Undesired burrs, grime and contaminants are effectively removed while preserving the geometry of the workpiece, reducing the need for additional work and increasing productivity. In addition, the sharps can escape through holes in the web, so that the abrasive material is less likely to clog. The reinforcing resin of the wheel gradually breaks down with use to release new fibres and super-sharp silicon carbide abrasives, ensuring a consistent cut throughout the lifespan of the wheel. The high-quality fibres resist chipping and perform well on edges. These discs also provide low vibration and fewer sparks, operate a high speed and have a long service life.
